The shape of the role
A Dallas role is full-time and year-round, live-out or live-in, cooking for the family through the week and for entertaining at home. A chef who travels with the family to a ranch or a second residence is agreed as one role, with the travel written into the offer.
A live-in role adds housing to the salary. The food budget is held by the home and never comes out of the chef’s pay.
