These terms cover your use of jadehouse.agency and the Jade House app in ChatGPT (together, "the service"). The service is run by Jade House LLC, doing business as Jade House Agency ("Jade House"), 87 Ardmore Rd, Kensington, CA 94707. By using the service you agree to these terms.
What the service does
Jade House is a referral agency and private personnel service that introduces private chefs to households. The service lets a household tell us about a role, and lets a chef tell us about their experience. Sending us details does not create a contract to search, place or employ anyone. A search starts only when a household signs a separate agreement with us, and that agreement sets the fee and terms.
Jade House does not employ the chefs we introduce. The household and the chef agree their own employment terms.
Who may use it
You must be at least 18. We do not currently accept details from the United Kingdom, the European Union or the European Economic Area. If you write to us on behalf of someone else, such as a principal or employer, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Where we place
We take new searches in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.
In Alaska, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin, we take details by waitlist and contact you when we can act there. We do not place in Nevada.
What you send us
Send only information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share. Do not send a third party's details without their permission. That includes a reference. How we use and keep what you send is set out in our Privacy Notice at jadehouse.agency/privacy.
The ChatGPT app
The app passes the details you give it to Jade House, and only after you agree to our Privacy Notice in the conversation. It cannot look up chefs, households or the status of an application. OpenAI's own terms apply to your use of ChatGPT.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service. That includes sending false or automated submissions, trying to get into systems or data you are not given, or interfering with how the service runs.
No guarantee of outcome
We do not promise that any submission will lead to an introduction, an interview or a placement. Any guarantee we give a household appears only in that household's signed agreement.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Jade House is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California.
