# Jade House

> Jade House is a referral agency and private personnel service that places permanent private chefs with private households and family offices across the United States. The household pays the fee; chefs never pay.

## What Jade House does
- Places permanent, full-time private chefs (live-in and live-out) with private residences and family offices across the United States. Which states take new searches today: https://jadehouse.agency/terms#where-we-place
- Gives each household a shortlist of two or three screened chefs, not a stack of CVs.
- Arranges a paid trial cook in the household's own home before any offer.
- Calls every reference itself and screens for discretion.
- Shares no household's details with a chef until both sides agree.
- For chefs: live-out roles start at $120,000 to $150,000 gross annual base salary, set by the state the role is in ($150,000 in California); live-in roles include housing on top of salary.

## What Jade House does not do
- Event, dinner-party or meal-prep bookings.
- Hotel, restaurant or commercial placements.
